Two million units of Mass Effect 2 have sold in the first week of its release. BioWare did hype the game considerably, and it looks like it just may live up to said hype. I have played it myself, and it is certainly good. Great? I am not decided on that yet. It is sure to become one of the biggest games of 2010. Read on for the official press info.

EA and Bioware have announced the first official DLC for Dragon Age: Origins. Awakening, as it is called, will allow players to explore a whole new area called Amaranthine. It will also feature a new storyline that details the origins of the Darkspawn, and helps us to understand their drive to wipe out all living things. The expansion will feature not only new items, specializations, and ways to spec player characters, but it will also include up to five new party members. The expansion will be available on March 16, 2010 for Xbox360, PS3, and PC. The bad news? It is going to cost $39.99! Wowsa, that’s alotta dough! Read on for the official press info.

The Edmonton-based developer earned its stripes back in 2003 with Knights of the Old Republic, based in the Star Wars galaxy. They decided to leave the Star Wars universe and create their own space opera- Mass Effect, the first title in a new trilogy, implements extensive free-roam game play coupled with a revamped live action squad-based combat system.

You control the actions of Commander Shepherd, an elite galactic Spectre, as you interact with with the universe’s complex alien races. Explore numerous planets and systems within the Mass Effect universe to defeat evil and save the human race.
